As we cat lovers know, kitties are sensitive creatures. The loud noises, unfamiliar guests, and sudden changes in environment can stress them out. Here are some simple but important 4th of July safety tips from the Sacramento Cat Hospital<\/a> to help keep your cat calm and safe on Independence Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1. Keep Your Cat Inside<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Even if your cat is used to spending time outside, do not let them explore outdoors on the 4th of July. Loud fireworks can send even the most confident cats running to who knows where in an effort to escape the chaos. And when they\u2019re scared, cats can easily get lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure all doors, windows, and pet flaps are shut on the 4th of July. Keep your cat indoors well before the evening festivities begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
